Hello everyone. I was hoping to be the first to post to the blog once the trip started but somehow sally beat me. It has been a long day of flying and it literally is longer for us because of the time change. We had a very early morning today. it was the earliest I have woken up since high school. Once at the airport I got selected for random screening by my big Samoan TSA agent friend Shway. After that wonderful moment we rushed over to the plane. Flight number one went swimmingly. We made it to Seattle and quickly scurried onto our next plane to anchorage. It was on this plane that I was lucky enough to be sat in between 2 giant fishermen named Bob and Teddy. Aside from the lack of space and the air smelling of 7-eleven chili dogs around me, the fellas were nice. They shared their trail mix and carrots with me. Then we moved onward and northward to Kodiak after we landed in Anchorage. Its a beautiful day here with a high of 60 degrees and a 100% chance of rain coming from all directions...sideways, from the top, somehow from the bottom...Kodiak's weather is a scientific anomaly. Although this seems like a fantastic 13 hour journey in and of itself, it is only the beginning. I am so privileged to be on this trip and i look forward to putting in some hard work for the glorification of God's holy name. I wanna send a shout out to my family back home, thank you for your continued support throughout this adventure. I got a good roommate assignment...it seems me and Father Gregory will be shacking up this trip...hopefully he will keep the room clean. Please keep praying for us. Thank you.
